SAVINGS IN EPCG PUBLIC PROCUREMENTS, OVERTIME AND CAR FLEET

With regard to the information about EPCG's business operations during the first nine months of 2021, we find suitable to present the public with several important details to the end of providing adequate information about the state of affairs in country’s biggest company:

  1. As regards the procedures of simple public procurements  (estimated value up to €20,000 for goods/services i.e. up to €40,000 for works) published via ESJN (i.e. Electronic Public Procurement System) with the duration term of not less than three days, 40 contracts have been concluded whereof value amounts to €369.062,40 excluding VAT. Given that the total estimated value of the procedures for which the contracts were concluded stands at €449.879,68 excluding VAT, it may be concluded that the amount of €80.817,28 excluding VAT was saved in relation to these contracts.
  2. In terms of the open public procurement procedures, i.e. tenders, 86 contracts were concluded, valued at €3.567.593,43  excluding VAT. Given that the total estimated value of the procedures for which the contracts were concluded stands at €3.891.883,59 excluding VAT, it may be concluded that the amount of €324.290,16 excluding VAT was saved in relation to these contracts.

The total savings arising from the contracts concluded on the basis of the public procurements over the course of the first nine months of 2021 equal €405.107,44 VAT excluded.

  1. Analyses of EPCG’s operations reveal that the overtime costs were reduced by as much as 45% as compared to the same period of the previous year.
  2. Furthermore, when making comparisons between the actual and expected expenses in other aspects, the reduction tendency may be perceived so the costs regarding:
  • car fleet fuel are by 19% lower;
  • registration of vehicles are by 46% lower;
  • vehicle maintenance are by 11% lower;
  • maintenance of pneumatics are by 250% lower.

In a nutshell, what can be unequivocally concluded from the above data is that management’s responsibility towards the work-related obligations is on a high level. In spite of challenging and economically unpredictable business year of 2021 caused by COVID-19 pandemics and drastic fluctuations in electricity price on the international markets, Elektroprivreda Crne Gore has managed to cut the cost of the indicated items as compared to the business plan.

We cut costs wherever possible, we invest in new staff and develop projects for the future. Good energy!
