PUBLIC TENDER FOR SOLARI 3000+ AND SOLARI 500+ PROJECT ANNOUNCED

Elektroprivreda Crne Gore and the Environmental Protection Fund (EKO FOND) announced today a Public Tender for participation in SOLARI 3000+ and SOLARI 500+ projects. The subject of the Public Tender is the construction of integrated solar power plants, through financing and subsidizing users for the purchase and installation of photovoltaic systems up to 10 kW for individual residential buildings, or photovoltaic systems up to 30 kW for legal entities and individuals, business owners. The holder of project financing is Elektroprivreda Crne Gore, and from the funds of Eco-Fund, one fifth of the funds for the realization of the Project will be provided, through the allocation of a 20 percent subsidy for the installation of photovoltaic panels for households, legal entities and individuals.

Solari 3000+ and Solari 500+ project, worth 30 million euros, represents the beginning of an energy transition in Montenegro and one of the most significant investments in the energy sector in the last 40 years. The goal of the project is to, through energy transition and installation of photovoltaic systems in households and businesses, primarily reduce monthly electricity expenditures, enable their energy independence, reduce carbon dioxide emissions to a minimum and preserve the environment.

The project beneficiary is given the opportunity to install an appropriate photovoltaic system, repaying it in equal monthly amounts in the amount of his average monthly bill for consumed electricity. The repayment period of the investment for the user is up to 10 years, depending on the amount of the instalment and the power of the associated installed system.

By installing a photovoltaic system, the user in the project becomes the so-called customer - producer, who meets his energy needs from his own source, and any surplus/shortage of electricity at a certain moment, delivers/takes over through the distribution network, which is financially settled at the annual level. Users repay the system in equal monthly installments through a credit arrangement provided by EPCG, with a 20% subsidy granted by the Eco-Fund. In this way, the user in the project becomes the owner of a small solar power plant, which is designed to approximately meet its electricity needs. Also, the project beneficiary is provided with technical and logistical support of EPCG employees, both in construction and in collecting the necessary documentation and approvals.

The Public Tender details the general and additional conditions for participation in the project, general conditions that the beneficiary of the Eco Fund subsidy has to meet, the method of application, criteria for ranking beneficiaries and scoring, documentation to be provided.

The interested customer fills in the application for photovoltaic systems on EPCG website, at the address www.epcg.com or by filling out the form that can be taken in the Business Units of the FU Supply. The submission of applications starts today, November 1, and the deadline for submitting applications is 60 calendar days from the day of publishing the Public Tender.
