At its 3rd regular session, the Board of Directors of Elektroprivreda Crne Gore AD Nikšić accepted the Information on construction of the TPP Pljevlja – Unit II, prepared by the Working group composed of representatives of EPCG, Coal Mine Pljevlja and the Ministry of Economy.

According to conclusions, after the meeting held between representatives of the strategic partners, the Government and A2A and with the aim of reorganising the Pljevlja-located thermal energy complex, Coal Mine Pljevlja,TPP Pljevlja and Project of the Unit II , the EPCG’s Board of Directors set up a Steering Committee tasked with monitoring and analysing the upcoming processes.

Subsequent to Working group’s completing direct negotiations and evaluation of all the bids, EPCG’s Board of Directors passed the decision whereby negotiations on implementation of the Project for construction of TPP Pljevlja – Unit II will be continued as well as final analyses of project feasibility and draft contract with potential partners - Skoda Praha, Powerchina Hubei Electric Power Survey & Design Institute and China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) - prepared. This process will be also followed by the Steering Committee.
