OCTOBER CONSUMPTION HIGHER BY 9.7%

In October 2021 households consumed 95.179.246 kWh (kilowatt hours) of electricity, which is 9.7% more compared with September consumption, and 2.5% more compared with the consumption recorded in October 2020.

The average electricity bill in October for households in Montenegro (excluding non-read metering points in facilities that are not permanently inhabited) amounted to €27.40. Households in Žabljak recorded the lowest average consumption of €18.05, while the highest average consumption in the previous month was recorded in Podgorica where the average consumption of households amounted to €33.17.  

 

Electricity bill in the amount of  €30 will be received by as many as 66.97% of households, 18.72% of customers will receive electricity bills amounting from €30 - €50, 12.28% of them  from €50 - €100, while the consumption exceeding €100 was recorded with 2.03% of customers. 41% of households, i.e. 152.254 of customers will receive October electricity bills reduced by the amount of a discount awarded to regular payers.

 

There is an ongoing campaign Share the Burden 9 which can be joined by all households which have a debt for consumed electricity. The concerned debt can be settled in fixed monthly instalments amounting to €20, without further calculation of default interest and without coercive collection, while the protocol is in force. The campaign will last until November 30th.  

 

Furthermore, the applying process for the project “SOLARI 3000+ and SOLARI 500+” is in progress and will last until December 31st. The project implies financing and subsidies to customers for the purchase and installation of PV systems with up to 10kW capacity for individual residential facilities, i.e. PV systems with up to 30kW capacity for legal and natural entities, owners of commercial facilities, with 20% subsidies provided by ECO FUND. Montenegrin citizens/companies  that purchase electricity for their own consumption have a right to participate in this project, while customers who are owners of individual/commercial facilities built in line with regulations governing construction of facilities are entitled to apply, as well as customers who regularly settle electricity bills and monthly instalments for debt payment, in case they signed a contract for debt settlement through instalments, whose facility’s rooftop is not shadowed by other adjacent facilities, trees or else.
