July electricity consumption by households higher by 24.3%

The Montenegrin households consumed 113.020.164 kWh (kilowatt-hours) of electricity in July, i.e. 24.3% more as compared to the consumption incurred in the previous month or 2.8% more as compared to consumption reached in July 2016.

The average July bill for electricity consumed by the households at the level of Montenegro (excluding non-read metering points in the buildings which are not permanently resided) amounts to €35.89. Households in Mojkovac record the lowest average consumption of €22.64, while those in Ulcinj recorded the highest consumption during the last month since households located there averagely consumed electricity valued at €65.97.  Bill exceeding the amount of €150 will be delivered to 1.56% of customers, while consumption span of €100 to €150 has been registered with 2.07% of customers.

The July bills reduced by the amount of discount for regular payers will be delivered to 53.3% of households in Montenegro, i.e. 180.073 customers.

The average daily consumption in July amounted to about 7800 MWh, which is almost at the same level as the record average consumption for July 2015, which was 7830 MWh. Regarding the largest daily consumption at the region, highest daily consumption was recorded at the coast and is about 3960 MWh. The largest daily consumption for Podgorica in July is about 2860 MWh, and in the northern region, the biggest daily consumption for July is about 1960 MWh.

The trend of increased consumption continued in the first days of August, so for the first nine days of August, distribution consumption is 19.5% higher than in the same period of the previous year, and 9.4% higher than in the same period of 2015 when it was registered historically the largest distribution consumption for the observed period.

In the first days of August, daily and weekly records of electricity consumption in the summer months have been met since the measurements are made. On August 9 was recorder the highest daily consumption of electricity in the summer months, which amounts to 9,770 MWh. Before that day record daily consumption of electricity in that period was 9,290 MWh and was measured in July 2015.
