EPCG AND ENERGOPROJEKT HIDROINŽENJERING AD SIGNED CONTRACT ON DEVELOPMENT OF PROJECT AND TENDER DOCUMENTS

 

 

 

The Contract on development of project and tender documents between Elektroprivreda Crne Gore AD Nikšić and Energoprojekt Hidroinženjering a.d. was signed on Thursday, 17th of February 2021. The contract value stands at 535,000.00, the signatories being the chief executive officer of EPCG (Nikola Rovčanin) and the managing director of Energoprojekt Hidroinženjering a.d. (Bratislav Stišović).

 

The timeline for development of the project and tender documents is set to seven months, which is to be followed by selection of the contractor for civil works and supplier of equipment for implementation of the project on installation of unit U8. The total estimated value of the project amounts to 24,000,000.00.

 

The conditions for contract signing were met with conducting of the international tendering procedure for installation of Unit U8 in HPP Perućica in line with guidelines and rules of the German Development Bank KfW. The following bidders participated in the tender: AFRY Switzerland Ltd – Switzerland, Energoprojekt Hidroinzenjering a.d. – Serbia, Fichtner GmbH (FIT) – Germany and Tractebel Engineering GmbH – Germany.

 

The project manager (Boško Božović) pointed out that the works on installation of Unit U8, alongside works on manufacturing, supply, installation and commissioning of electrical and mechanical equipment, comprise also civil works on reconstruction of the Zeta I canal hub, compensation basin and the intake structure; the completion thereof will provide EPCG with additional 58.5 MW which means that the rated power of the plant will be increased from 307 MW to 365.5 MW without any additional environmental impact.

 

The implementation of the most important project reflects continuation of activities in the area of modernizing the existing and developing new generation capacities. This confirms EPCG's determination to keep pace with the global process of energy transition and establishes itself as a company which will also guarantee stability and economic development of Montenegro in the decades to come.
