By the end of this year ‘Golden Team’ members get one electricity bill free of charge

Having regards to quite a challenging socio-economic situation the households and economy have experienced due to COVID-19 pandemic and appreciating loyalty of our regular payers, EPCG and CEDIS as socially responsible companies decided to grant additional discount to electricity bills of all households in the category of ‘Golden Team’ members starting from May 31.

Milutin Đukanović, chairman of the Board of directors said: “After the Board of directors passes a Decision, all households with electricity debt equal to 0€ will automatically become ‘Golden Team’ members. Thereby, the households will achieve additional discount i.e. by the end of the year additional 13% discount for CEDIS services will be calculated along with the existing 13 % discount to active energy (first item in the bill).”

Namely, with this new discount the electricity bills of ‘Golden Team’ members would be decreased by 12.25% w/o VAT. Thus, for example where the previous discount to households with electricity bills of 60 € w/o VAT amounted to 3.8 €, with this new discount the total electricity bill would be reduced by 7.35€.

Đukanović said the additional discount would be applied to all electricity bills issued until the end of the current year i.e. the forthcoming eight months, so that ‘Golden Team’ members would have the opportunity by being the regular payers to realize discount in the amount equal to an average monthly electricity bill.

EPCG Board of directors decided to support the economy i.e. other distribution customers except small customers as well by granting 3% discount up until the end of the year.

Apart from the fact that discount represents a direct expense to the company EPCG will continue to grant subsidies to socially vulnerable categories of citizens.

Đukanović announced that the Board of directors had approved 10% discount to those institutions that had been highly involved in combating the pandemic, and apart from hospitals and Health Care Centres this discounts would apply to kindergartens, elementary and secondary schools. We would, thereby, make debt settlements easier to everybody and apart from households we would help the state institutions to overcome the crisis caused by pandemic impact to our system, highlighted Đukanović.

Therefore EPCG, once again, calls for all its customers to settle their electricity debts and get 12.25% discount to their overall bill, acquiring thereby other benefits the customers are entitled to like the numerous rewards in the ongoing prize game.

EPCG wants to be even more committed to its customers and intends to provide incentives to all regular electricity bill payers through new projects in the future. Total EPCG expenses, by virtue of the above stated will amount to 10 M€.
