World Water Day on Krupac

World Water Day is marked every March 22nd by the Decision of General Assembly of the United Nations from 1993, with the objective to draw attention of the public to significance of freshwater and sustainable management of freshwater resources.  This year's World Water Day is celebrated under slogan ″Water and Energy″. On the occasion of celebrating this day, Environmental Movement ″OZON″, Lake Fest and Elektroprivreda Crne Gore, on March 22nd, organized public action of cleaning up the space around Krupac Lake.

Positive energy arises out of this kind of actions organized in nature for the purpose of environmental quality improvement and they represent the right opportunity to emphasize significant facts and make the public aware of importance of certain matters.

Aleksandar Perović, from NGO Ozon, said: 'This action represents continuation of cooperation with winners of the prize Green Star, the annual action which we have been organizing for 4 years with our partners: Agency for Environmental Protection and OSCE Mission in Montenegro.'

Krupac Lake, intended for generation of electricity in HPP Perućica, became popular touristic place and EPCG is always willing to support quality cultural events, such as Lake Fest, and to allow use of the area around the lake.
