SUPREME STATE PROSECUTOR`S OFFICE ADOPTED EPCG`S COMPLAINT

On May 4th, 2022, through mail ref. KTR-P No.12/22 dated April 7th, 2022, the Supreme State Prosecutor`s Office informed EPCG`s legal representative about adoption of the Complaint filed for a review of the decision passed by the Special State Prosecutor`s Office, Kt-S.No.93/21 dated December 14th, 2021, on dismissal of criminal charges that we filed against Duško Marković, former Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dragica Sekulić, former Minister of Economy of Montenegro, Veselin Pejović, the owner and representative of legal entity UNIPROM DOO Nikšić, Đoko Krivokapić, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of EPCG AD Nišić, Igor Noveljić, former Chief Executive Officer of EPCG AD Nikšić, and other persons designated in the criminal charges.

To that effect, the Supreme State Prosecutor`s Office informed us that it has been determined, through assessment of the complaint and overall case files, that the concerned decision on dismissal of criminal charges was premature, so case file ref. Kt-S No.93/21, has been referred back to the Special State Prosecutor`s Office for taking further measures and actions, based on which the decision will be passed in line with the law.

We hope that this is an indicator of the permanent renunciation of the former practice, when important persons in the Special State Prosecutor`s Office, primarily Milivoje Katnić and Saša Čađenović, used to make their decisions on the basis of political interests, which caused great damage both to citizens and economy, most of all to EPCG, and whereby, undoubtedly, the trust in the prosecution was undermined.
