Traditionally with the "Montenegrin sharks"

EPCG is going to support the Montenegrin national water polo and swimming with €155,000.00.

Mr Ranko Vojinović, the executive officer of the HR Directorate in EPCG and Mr Petar Porobić, the manager of the Water Polo and Swimming Federation of Montenegro have signed the new one-year general sponsorship agreement, thus continuing traditionally good cooperation between our Company and the Water Polo and Swimming Federation of Montenegro.

The strategic partnership between EPCG and the Water Polo and Swimming Federation of Montenegro was established in June of 2008.

'It is a great pleasure and honour to be with the best during times when the history of the Montenegrin water polo was written in letters of gold. We hope to continue with the achievement of superior results in the forthcoming 2015 FINA World Championship in Kazan, with the sponsorship of EPCG and a talent the Montenegrin sharks have. EPCG will contribute to the future affirmation of superior sporting and competitive achievements', said Ranko Vojinović, the executive officer of the Chief HR Directorate in EPCG, and added: 'Signing of the agreement has taken place at Krupac Lake which also hosts summer swimming and water polo school. Once the construction of the swimming pool in Nikšić is completed we hope that this town will give to the Montenegrin representation many hardworking talents. These beautiful kids from Nikšić, who have gathered here today to demonstrate the skills they have acquired, promise that.'

Mr Petar Porobić, the director of the Water Polo and Swimming Federation of Montenegro has pointed out true and faithful friends who support you not only when accomplishing superior results but also when you are not lucky enough, are truly rare.

'It is needless to comment on the importance of the role of Elektroprivreda Crne Gore in affirmation of the Montenegrin water polo. This support gains importance immediately before the World Championship, although it is expected if considering that the best always support the best. Water polo has won the most trophies in Montenegro, the representation is the most successful national sports team, and EPCG one of the best companies', concluded Porobić.

'Given the quality confirmed, the public expects us to enter the fight for the medal in Kazan. It will be hard and difficult; although we are without some of our excellent players, our ambitions are high and we will try to win the medal, particularly if having in mind that winning the medal would ensure direct entry to the Olympic Games in Brazil in 2016, and we would not need to additionally enter the qualifications', said Porobić and added that the absence of Nikola Janović, Antonije Petrović and Saša Mišić weakens our representation in Kazan.

'We are leaving for Kazan on Friday. The medal cannot be guaranteed but we will do our best to win it. Realistically speaking, this is very difficult year given that we do not have three standard players. There are some new players now, beginners in fact, but we are still the quality team, as proved at the tournament in Niš, capable of fighting with any national team. It is up to us to show our maximum and achieve the desired result – the medal', said Ranko Perović, the head couch of the water polo national team.

Uroš Čučuković, one of the youngest players of the national team, said: 'Rejuvenated team goes to Kazanj, with many new players. However, we have worked hard and preparations went well. Niš showed that we can cope with the strongest teams. Every competition could be won with a proper approach. I think we can achieve good result in Kazan'.

The main construction works on the reconstruction of the swimming pool in Nikšić will start soon, as announced by the Water Polo and Swimming Federation of Montenegro. Let us remind you that cca 70% of funds for the project implementation were provided by the Water Polo and Swimming Federation of Montenegro at the donor's night at the beginning of April this year, and EPCG donated €50,000. The swimming pool from Nikšić, being the only Olympic-size swimming pool in Nikšić, will be reconstructed in line with all the standards. In its capacity of the first-class structure for development of sports in Nikšić and improvement of a national swimming and water polo, it will be equipped with numerous supporting facilities. Furthermore, the Water Polo and Swimming Federation of Montenegro will get involved in settlement of problems related to the swimming pool in Kotor, in cooperation with management from Kotor.

'The World Junior Championship, in addition to the Olympic Games, will mark the next year, and Podgorica is going to host this important sporting competition. This is extraordinary and big project for the Water Polo and Swimming Federation of Montenegro, 20 national teams are expected to take place, and we have to start with preparations as soon as possible to organize it in cooperation with Podgorica Capital City', concluded Porobić

Montenegro will play in the group with Serbia, Australia and Japan at the World Championship which begins in Kazan on July 27.
