FINAL PRICES REDUCED BY 4.5% ON AVERAGE

According to the Energy Law and the General Terms and Conditions of Electricity Supply, EPCG in its capacity of the supplier to the end customer has established and published on its web-site (www.epcg.com) electricity prices at which to supply distribution customers starting from January 1, 2017. Pursuant to the Law, the cost of electricity for households and smaller non-household customers has been limited to the period from 2017 until 2019, and the cost of electricity for other customers has been established in line with market conditions.

Furthermore, on December 5, 2016 the Energy Regulatory Agency defined regulatory revenues and costs for network operators as well as the amount of charge for the electricity market operator.

The total cost of energy and services paid by end customers has been obtained when adding costs of charges and network operators to the newly-defined costs of active energy, pursuant to the Law, with an overview of currently applicable new total costs to end customers not including VAT:

The final cost (electricity, network services and charges) for households and smaller non-household customers amounts to 7.97 €c/kWh instead of an ongoing 8.37 €c/kWh, which is 4.74% reduction. The cost for households with single-tariff metering is reduced by 7.61%.
As far as other distribution customers are concerned, depending on a voltage level, the final price was defined by the concerned decisions, amounting to 5.1 €c/kWh for customers connected to 35 kV having been reduced by 5.52%, i.e. by 3.31% for customers connected to 10 kV network.

Therefore, the final new prices for distribution customers, including cost of electricity, network services and charges, are reduced by 4.5% on average compared to the preceding year.

According to the new Energy Law, EPCG in its capacity of an ongoing public supplier will become the market supplier since January 01, 2017. In that sense, regulatory revenue will be no longer approved to the supplier, the charge for supply will not be calculated and this item will not be present on bills for our end customers.

In addition, according to the new methodologies, charges on engagement of transmission and distribution capacities are integrated and presented in form of one item. The same can be applied to transmission and distribution system losses - instead of two items on bills for our end customers there is a single item ‘system losses’.

The previous tables do not include charge on renewable energy sources, because it still has not been defined by the competent ministry for the year of 2017. Let us remind you that smaller non-household customer has been mentioned now for the first time in the area of supply, and the definition thereof given in Article 196, paragraph (4) of the Energy Law.
